A outra Florbela Espanca (Prof. Dr.ª Renata Bomfim/ Revista Ágora/ PPGHIS-UFES)

Resumo: Durante muito tempo a crítica biográfica esboçou um retrato acabado de Florbela Espanca (1894-1930), tornando-a conhecida como a poetisa da dor, da saudade e da melancolia. Entretanto, novos olhares estão sendo lançados sobre a obra da escritora portuguesa, revelando que ao invés da malograda poetisa, estamos diante de uma personalidade poética atuante, extemporânea, e desafiadora do ideário feminino de sua época, uma persona dramatis que nesse artigo chamei de “Outra”, aludindo à mulher como alteridade. Apresentamos nesse estudo, aspectos da vida e da obra da poetisa alentejana, destacando o contexto social e cultural no qual ela viveu e produziu, bem como, salientamos a importância do movimento feminista para as escritoras do final do século XIX e início do século XX. Esses apontamentos são resultado das pesquisas que culminaram na tese de doutorado “A flor e o Cisne: diálogos poéticos entre Florbela Espanca e Rubén Darío”, de nossa autoria. Abstract: For a long time, the biographical critics outlined a finished portrait of FlorbelaEspanca as a poetess od grief, yearning and melancholy, However, new the works of the Portuguese writer is being observed from new points of view, revealing trhat instead of a fruistratedpoetes we stand before an active, extemporary poetic personality, who challenges the feminine system of ideas of her epoch, a persona dramatis whom , in this aricle, I called The Other, alluding to a woman as the otherness. In this study we present, aspects of life and work of the poetess from the Alentejo, pointing out the social and cultural context in which she lived and produced, as well as we highlight the importance of the feminist movement of the end of 19th and the beginning of the 20th century for women writers. These writings result from the research that culminated in our PhD thesis ”The Flower and the Swan: poetic dialogues between FlorbelaEspanca and Rubén Darío” of our own.
